Was King Xerxes all hairless? I have seen a monument of his and it looks like he's got lots of hair with that long beard he has.

Nope !

Which monument have you seen ?

The attached link takes you to an original carving made of Xerxes found at Persepolis (he stands behind his father, Darius).

As was the fashion, he has long crimped hair and beard - so certainly not hairless.

you must have been watching 300 or something like it.

No, the movie was based on the comic strip, in which the Greeks were stylised as beautiful people and the Persians as terrible and ugly people.

Had no basis on real life. The Persians outlawed slavery and had a form of democracy as a nation, when only Athens had democracy and all other Greek nation states were basically feudal and kept slaves for everything. Athens used their slaves to round up 'free men' to vote, with ropes painted red, the Athenians were so vain, they didn't want to be seen with red paint on their clothing.

You can't believe Hollywood movies, they are almost all very inaccurate. Look at what Mel Gibson is producing nowdays.

Nice question considering the fact that you have managed to answer it yourself.

A person with a long beard should be having hair!
