Alcohol is legal
Cigarettes are legal
Marijuana is illegal

That just doesn't make sense to me. Out of all three of those, marijuana does the least damage to your body, doesn't impare driving at all really and when was the last time you saw a bunch of people in a room getting high break out in violence?

I just think that unless the other two become illegal, it shouldn't be.

Also I don't smoke, drink or get high.

Wait, a mind altering drug doesn't impair your driving? or is it just "really" part that makes it okay -- it only slows your reaction times a little "really", but when little Johnny gets run over by a "not 'really' impaired marijuana smoker does that make him not 'really' dead?

I know a handful of marijuana smokers - all of whom lack drive, ambition, and are a complete leech on society. So it may not cause violence or it may not be any worse to some than alcohol - but regardless of what people try to yammer on about it is not harmless. Driving while high is just as much a potential deadly situation as driving while drunk.

Many of our cities and towns today are making it illegal to smoke in public places, such as restaurants, bars, buildings, parking lots, in cars with children....you name it.
These same lawmakers will go to there "social hour" then get in their cars to drive home after a "few drinks" but at least we can rest easy to know they didn't smoke....lol....is that a joke or what? you can sit at a bar with someone drinking the night away but omg don't let him light up in there...now who would you want to get in the car with? someone drinking all night or one smoking all night? its another joke.
I am wondering where the MADD lobbying group has run off to?

As for marijuana....it is damaging to your health also. It kills cells the same as any other drug....does impair thinking or gives a high or ones wouldn't like it would they? Also, they have found that pot is addictive just as any other drug to your body.....some can put it down, others go on to harder things to get a better high and the circle begins for them to get more and more.......We at the doctors office see the results of those and they only began by being "just a one pot smoker"...who knows who is going to be the addictive one???

Marijuana is illegal ?
ILLegal we use to say that was just a Sick Bird.
I use too think it would be Cool to have the Law get off Marijuana.
But Now it seems I just don't care if they have a law for it or not..... And if you really don't use any Mood altering Substance it's no difference now is it.

Alcohol and tobacco have been around for a very long time, and become established in mainstream society. It would now be politically impossible for a government to ban them. Political reality is what determines government policy; not comparative logical arguments.

Whatever the government makes a profit from taxes is legal. Whatever the government doesn't make a profit from taxes is illegal.
