I assume you mean Jose Rizal the Phillipine nationalist. I wasn't aware of worship but it would be normal that some people tend to attach blind faith to their view of national founders. Seems like an interesting character whom I was unaware of before and am off to investigate further.

no idea. lol my family in the Philippines live in Rizal St in Cadiz City. that was random but anyway....
