The Mk4 Rubber chicken is unfortunately incompatible with the Ceramic re-entry plates as the silicon bonding polymer used to secure the plates can become dislodged if traces of feather or basting material contaminate the surface area.

A much more practical solution would be to keep the Mk 4 chicken in a Geo-synchronous orbit and use the new G457-LR7 Low level orbiting egg as a shuttle from the Mk 4 to ground level.

You will benefit from the better fuel efficiency of the Egg orbiter as it is fitted with the new positronic reverse Ion drive rather than the Mk 4's Quantum differential compensator drive.

I see from your question your Mk 4 chicken only weighs 3Lb? This must mean you've got the new alloy trims and custom fairings fitted - nice!
