Are Some Countries Too Big for the Diverse Factions?

Should countries such as Iraq be divided into 3
The UK into 3 (SNP and the Welsh)
North America into 2 (Give the Indians some land), etc.
Smaller countries, less fighting (After the fight over the split of course)

The problem with creating smaller countries is that it would create more violence and more warfare. There was infighting in the UK countries before it became the UK, there was fighting between groups of Native Americans before the US government was founded. There will be plenty of violence between the Sunni, Shites and Kurds in Iraq if the country is split. They will fight over who got what land and what resources. People will not want to move from their homes to the designated ***** area. I think there will be even more violence if the country is split then there is now.
