there will be less strain on your pcs power supply if the hdd is having a dc input

ans 2 western digital & segate are best in all types hdd.

properly, Its fairly unusual. yet I recommend preserving it unpluged for a pair of hour just to confirm. The only benefit is that is reduces the power required of your system, if the drive is running off the DC Adapter then your power supply doesn't have to provide the power.

In anycase, what's 4000원?

As for brand, I've always been fond of Seagate.
