excuse my ignorance, but i came to this conclusion because israel is trying to qualify for the European Cup which is for Europeans.

Israel has always been the connection between the continents. It is closely linked with europe with asia and with africa. Today it continues to have that and even more so with its strong links to america. It makes it hard to define which continent it belongs to. I imagine in different places it is defined differently.
BTW i suspect that this is a large part of the reason for so much war and conflict there too.

Israel is in Asia. we joined the euro cup so that our and your fans could fly over to watch the games. BTW we sucked against England :)

I think Israel is part of nothing but it's own state created for the Jews to have their own...state....or something like that..ha

well heres the thing...Isreal is originally Palistine ...divided by the UN and NATO after WW2 bc they felt bad for the jews and wanted to give them land...but if you ask me....they did it so they would kill eachother...and they can take the holy land.....i am a jew....and i dont hate palistine.....they hate us though....and we where not given the promise land by god like the bible said he would...so who are these people to give us land from another country and say here is your promise land....its asking for trouble they want all of us to die....Isreal is part of Asia......not Europe...or Eur-Asia.

because a football game between Israel and Iran would be very spectacular, but would probably leave lots of nuclear fallout...
