Preventing From Earthquake Is Not Possible Human Today, but there are some points that will guide you about the preparation of the earthquake.

An earthquake is a phenomenon that results from the sudden release of stored energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves. At the Earth's surface, earthquakes may manifest themselves by a shaking or displacement of the ground and sometimes cause tsunamis, which may lead to loss of life and destruction of property. An earthquake is caused by tectonic plates getting stuck and putting a strain on the ground. The strain becomes so great that rocks give way and fault lines occur.

Earthquakes may occur naturally or as a result of human activities. In its most generic sense, the word earthquake is used to describe any seismic event—whether a natural phenomenon or an event caused by humans—that generates seismic waves.

Preparation for earthquakes

1. Earthquake prediction

An earthquake prediction is a prediction that an earthquake in a specific magnitude range will occur in a specific region and time window. Seismologists are not currently able to predict earthquakes with such accuracy, though the early results of the Demeter satellite suggest that this could become possible instead they focus on calculating the seismic hazards of a region by estimating the probabilities that a given earthquake or suite of earthquakes will occur.

2. Emergency management

Emergency management (or disaster management) is the discipline dealing of with and avoiding risks. It is a discipline that involves preparing, supporting, and rebuilding society when natural or human-made disasters occur. In general, any Emergency management is the continuous process by which all individuals, groups, and communities manage hazards in an effort to avoid or ameliorate the impact of disasters resulting from the hazards. Actions taken depend in part on perceptions of risk of those exposed.Effective emergency management relies on thorough integration of emergency plans at all levels of government and non-government involvement. Activities at each level (individual, group, community) affect the other levels. It is common to place the responsibility for governmental emergency management with the institutions for civil defense or within the conventional structure of the emergency services. In the private sector, emergency management is commonly referred to as business continuity management.

What made you ask this Question? Why do you think that Indians can control the intensity of earthquakes? Simply India is a subcontinent of Asia. No Indian can simply control the Phenomenal Catastrophic nature of Earthquakes an this early part of the 3rd Millennium.

Avoid constructing tall buildings unless they have a axis of balance in the center, where waves can be absorbed. It is fairly an unpredictable Calamity. Be cautious always and be alert

We are nobody to protect India from earth quake because it is a natural phenomenon. It is not in the hands of any man.

What types of earthquakes you have in mind? If you are referring to the physical ones, answer is hypothetically 'Yes', by constructing all new buildings as earthquake proof and by again hypothetically, converting all existing buildings to earthquake proof structures. But it is not a financially viable proposition, consider the ancient monuments, the size of this country and the enormity of the task! In future there could be a better and easier method, earthquakes take place due to movements of the plates (see the theory of plate tectonics at http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/geology/tectonics.html), it may become possible to release the cataclysmic build of pressure incrementally through controlled nuclear explosions and avoid earthquakes entirely.

First we have to stop build huge towers on the earth.and have to go compromise on water problems. If we start to live as unity grace of Bharat matha the earth quake will disappear itself.

By keeping quiet and by without doing unnecessary harm to mother Earth Like BLASTING HILLS,BUILDING ENORMOUS DAMS AND DAILY POLLUTING IT AND INCREASING THE PRESSURE ON EARTH WITH HIGH RISE BUILDINGS,Stopping the missile testings etc.

we can not avoid but minimise the lossby taking steps such as avoiding sesamic waves by heavy blasting etc, identifying prone zones, evacuating in advance, advising not to go for heavy tall buildings etc
