Guide me the route to go from IGI airport to the Railway station (New Delhi)

Currently Dwarka sector 9 is the nearest Metro station that is functional and closest to Delhi airport.

The Dwarka line is proposed to be extended to Dwarka sector 21.
It goes to Rajiv Chowk, where you can change for New Delhi.
However a new line will be built from Airport direct to New Delhi station. This is in the next phase of Delhi Metro and is expected to be ready by the year 2010.

As of now Dwarka is the nearest Metro Station to IGI Airport, Delhi. The safe, best and most convenient option is to get a prepaid taxi (Delhi Traffic Police managed) from the airport for New Delhi Railway Station.
Alternatively, look for the City Coach Service of the DTC, the service of which is periodic but a little time consuming, cheap and safe.
