Sure there is, start eating properly for starters !! You have a vitamin B2 deficiency. Symptoms of this are splitting and cracked lips, sore mouth, sore and ulcerated tongue, splitting skin around your fingernails, grainy and sandy feeling under your eyelids??? Sound familiar??

You need to either get a good quality multi B complex supplement (tablets) or increase your intake of foods rich in this vitamin.

ie: yeast. whole grains, organ meats, brewer's yeast, blackstrap molasses, wheat germ, peas, beans, lentils and green leafy vegies.

The B group of vitamins work best synergistically (as a whole) hence my advice to get a multi B complex supplement. They are B1,B2,B3,B5,B6 & B12. Don't buy them separately because they function at optimal levels together.

The B group of vitamins is also a water soluble group, therefore, you have to replenish your body with them everyday. In other words, your body can neither store or produce them and you need to replace on a daily basis or suffer a myriad of ailments.

If you choose to use my excellent advice you will be very pleased that you did as you will get relief from your symptoms fairly quickly. Sorry that this appears long winded, it is however information you obviously need to know if you want to avoid future irritable conditions such as this...............:0)

PEACE & LIGHT TO YOU

Maybe some Vaseline Intensive Care put there will soften the skin around the nails will help. Use it daily. If that does not work go see a skin doctor and get a prescription.

I have dry cuticles too. It can not be totally eliminated but try to minimize it by using lots of moisturizer esp after washing your hands, and keep your nails long. I realized that my skin breaks and cracks more frequent when my nail is very short or broken.

no that skin (hang nail) is not always ripped or dry ... a good lotion and hand care with help with that .. many people both men and woman go and get manicures to help with that also

that usually happens because people do it on purpose even without realizing it. Just monitor what you're doing with your hands. And moisturizer couldn't hurt.

you need to push back your cuticles. rub some moisturizer in to them before you go to sleep at night.
