Kittens generally start on solids at about 6-8 weeks. Some kittens take to food straight away and some take a bit longer to get used to it.
Breastfeeding is still the main source of nutrition for kittens this young and their is nothing wrong with it. You shouldnt make it eat, let it learn naturally from its mother and the other kittens.
Make sure you are using kitten food, just put a little bit on a plate and mash it with a fork so its easier for the kitten to eat. You will find that kittens that young will try and drink the food rather than eat it. They have to learn how to eat.

The kitten wont grow weak from only drinking from its mother. All animals need the milk to grow and develop properly.
As long as the kitten is getting milk fromits mother it wil be fine. It will learn to eat when it gets hungry for solid food.

I have had many litters and all the kittens take to eating at different points. Some ate it straight away and others took weeks to learn how to eat.

Thats OK - they will nurse on and off for weeks. Wet down the food you are giving them. They sell "kitten formula and young kitten food" which you can gradually reduce the moisture too, they sell it in pet stores, I cant remember the name of it. I had taken in a pregnant stray and I had some around just in case. You could mix the kitten formula and put in on the food that might help too! The kitten is only 6 weeks its OK that it is still mostly nursing.

if u dont mind hold that kitten open her mouth feed her the milk in spoons. no other source. While opening the mouth, be careful.

Even now i do that for my cat. I started this when it was small. After some days it started catching whatever it requires. Leave it free in the garden. Automatically it will start eating. After some days keep some rice with curd or milk or buttermilk to taste. if it likes the taste it will start eating.

I accompanied a sprint teeny kitten that became abandoned by utilising his mom at 4 weeks previous. He became particularly much less that a pound and did no longer recognize a thank you to consume. He became so small that I used to hold him around in my bathrobe pocket and he used to sleep interior our footwear. We extra him to the vet as quickly as we've been given him and we had to feed him some supplement in a tube like that hairball medical care stuff. He in simple terms did no longer want something. One nighttime my ex-husband and that i've got been eating dinner and we used to enable Sam arise on the table by way of fact he in simple terms cherished to be around us. properly, I had a Tbone steak bone that became two times the dimensions of Sammy and and he walked over to my plate and with all his little would he dragged it off the plate and chowed down on each and all of the beef left on it!! He ought to have in simple terms had costly style. I advised the vet and reported that he ultimately ate some actual nutrition and he or she reported that became large, yet steak truly became a sturdy first nutrition and to grant him hamburger and rice particularly. He lived to be 16yrs previous and became the superb cat contained in the international and became constantly vast and fat.

Is she the runt. if she is it is perfectly normal for them to want to breastfeed for longer. You could always try watering down the food a little bit.
