I agree. I think Jordan was the best.
There are only a few other guys that can even be mentioned:
Magic, Kareem, Wilt, and Shaq.
Shaq: Ok, obviously Shaq isnt....however, Shaq probably SHOULDVE been the best of all time....if he werent so damn lazy. But Shaq in 2000 was probably the most dominant player ever for a year.
Magic: Pretty close. We all know Jordan could score...but Magic was actually the better overall offensive player. The guy could do it all, score from outside, drive inside, pass, dish, post up, hook, etc. I really believe Magic couldve scored as much as Jordan had his goal been to just score. However, Jordan gets the edge for his dominance on both the offensive and defensive end.
Kareem: Kareem is really close too. Underated athletically cuz most people remember old Kareem and not young physically dominating Kareem. I give the edge to Jordan based more in intangibles, clutchness, leadership and mental strength. Jordan just willed some of those wins. Its these minor things that are the only things that Kareem lacked. (We all know the Showtime Lakers were Magic's team)
Wilt: I could write an essay about why Wilt IS NOT the best ever. Mainly, the game and era were just different back then. Most other centers were 6'7 to 6'9 back then. I can't take away from Wilt's dominance....he is the most dominant ever....but also cuz of his era. I believe if Wilt played in the 80s , 90s, or now, he would still be one of the great players of the era....just not the greatest.

best over all player? i dont know. if u would of said scorer then i would of said Wilt but player? me personally were seeing this guy who's making history and that is in his prime by the name of kobe bryant which is a way better scorer and penetrator then mike could ever be. i think were so stuck on mike cause he was the first flashy guard all around to do anything special but at the end of the day kobe has a better jumper he can find his big man better and they both were ball hogs. look at the 84 footage to about the 91 92 when he started passing maybe cause he had pippen on his team. so overall i give it to Mr. 81.

Why? Did you hear that on ESPN?
And to the basketball genius "wizexel22" (the poster above). I'd LOVE to see your essay on Wilt Chamberlain. And maybe you can explain why Yao Ming doesn't throw up 50 points and grab 25 rebounds every night. He's got at least 5-6 inches on most players today.

Ok normally i would be fighting to prove that Kobe is but hell any informed NBA fan knows it's Wilt Chamberlain i mean you have to be either a non informed NBA fan or retarded not to know that.
