Don't you think it's weird/annoying when you asked a question and people keep on telling you to go to a particular website to search for the answers. I thought this was what the Yahoo!Answer is all about.

YES! Thank you! I posted that before, about how when somebody asks a question, they would appreciate an answer from somebody who knows what they're talking about, not some copy and paste queen/king that just wants points. Who gives a damn about points when you need an answer? And what honor, if you will, is there in being a Top Contributor or Most answers when all you do is copy and paste people's websites and not credit them? Isn't that plagerism? Isn't that pathetic anyway? If you can't give a legitimate answer, don't f*ing answer and quit wasting people's time! Anybody can Google a stupid website!!!

Yeah, I find it incredibly lazy and uninspiring too. It's such a huge letdown when you've put thought into your questions and then someone just guides you to somewhere else that probably doesn't even have the answers you're looking for. It's just a cheap way for people to earn 2 measly points. But I feel you, honestly, if people don't know the answers to questions, they should just politely move on. It's even worse when they give you rude answers when you clearly don't deserve it.

Maybe you see Q&A as a chat room, obviously Internet search is the BEST way to find answers and likely they provided useful information.

No,not "weird". The responding user is probably just trying to assist as best they possibly can. Sometimes saying " I don't know, but here is who does know" is the best answer."
