Well I can tell you one thing. You've picked a pretty fun persuit! Good luck. Now Graphic Design is a very lucritive and fast growing industry. It involves alot of creative energy and technical knowledge. So if you like it, you will have fun. Let me tell you the artistic secret. In order to suceed in this field, you must have a photogenic memory, and be good at puzzle solving. Choose ideas from things that share "common relation" to things on the current market, but are sort of abstract, which is to say that it makes people say, "Wow I've never thought of that" or "Wow makes sense, but not too much" leave space for wonder. Sucess in this field can be groundbreaking if you know your stuff, and watch out for the demons who are gonna' try to trick you, and tell you contrary to my advice, good luck!

Are you really interested in graphic design or are you going to do it just because it sounds cool? Graphic design is not just what you learn at uni. You have to use your own creativity. The good thing about taking up a course is that it will give you a very strong theoretical background on design such as colors, composition, typography, etc. How you use that is all up to you. So don't just rely on your course.

It's an art. Think design 24 hours!! :) There is design everywhere. So you won't miss a thing!!

As successful as you want to be. I know that sounds simple but if you're really doing what you want to do you will find a way to continue doing it and be successful at it. Your passion will drive you forward and will ensure your success because it will make you get your education, do your work, earn your credentials and gain you resources for future needs. The competition in graphic design is only tough if you're not committed to it. Commitment is what makes all the doors open.
