You son's computer had a Smitfraud infection. The problem is that a trojan called Zlob underpins this infection. Zlob "phones-home" for its instructions to affect the compromised computer. Zlob needs to be removed or re-infection can occur.

The "standard" removal procedure to remove Zlob and Smitfraud is to use a specialized tool called SmitFraudFix.

I would trust it more than just running an all-purpose solution such as Adaware. I would run SmitFraudFix and see if it finds anything.

that's sypware/malware, do not get carry of it, this is going to infect your gadget. get carry of a pair of robust anti spy ware courses and run them. i admire Spybot S&D, and Adaware. I additionally run spy ware Blaster. that's an particularly small anti spy ware application that runs in the historic past and could eliminate very very nearly all spy ware/malware that enters your gadget. do not format or reinstall your OS for issues like this. Malware, spy ware, and viruses would nicely be eradicated via using the ideal utility.

If you notice any unusual or erratic behavior, that could indicate damage. It definitely could have recorded/sent personal info. I always recommend people to change their passwords to anything they may have logged onto that they care about (bank accounts especially).

All you really need is one program that does it all, the more virus protection programs you have installed, the longer your computer drags.
NOW I WONDER WHY YOU GAVE ME A THUMBS DOWN...COULD IT BE I MAY HAVE MADE YOU FEEL STUPID OVER THE FACT THAT YOU ACTUALLY HAVE MORE THAN ONE VIRUS PROTECTION PROGRAMS RUNNING?
