They're really a non-couple, but the relationship between Batou and Kusanagi (of the Ghost in the Shell universe) is quite complex and very interesting.

Ferio and Fuu. Only way to make it more canon is to kiss, but you know CLAMP won't do that. One's eye color = Other's hair color no matter how you divide it. One's royal, and the other has a noble personality. He forgives her completely for an incident in the past she doesn't forgive herself as easily for.
It's a total emotional connection.
