Is there really an obsession? Like is there an AA groups that you can talk to about your McNugget ingestion or your intake of Happy Meals?
Seriously, I'm not sure that people are any more "obsessed" with McDonald's than they are with any other fast food place. Its all about convenience and our need for instant gratification.

I don't know - there are so many more alternatives now. I haven't been to a McDonald's now in 3 years. Their food hurt my stomach, so I quit going. My Grandkids like Chick-Fil-A and Wendy's more anyway. All fast food places like these have some healthier snacks now that are good as an alternative to fries. I don't suppose that I will be going to the local McDonald's any time soon, but I will just pass by and look in awe at the number of cars in their lot.

I dont know if you can say obsessed but I think a lot of people like McDonalds because when it comes to budget and fast food.. MickyD's knows what people want.. theyre not just fast/junk food anymore.. they have some healthy food there now such as salads and wraps.. so for the price you cant really beat it.

Eww, I have had Mcdonald's once in the past 2 years so I can't really tell you . Oh and I'm American, like that matters since your question wasn't referring to certain people but some ignoramus felt the need to put down Americans again

I would say people love it or hate it, either they are drawn to it by the mass advertising or repelled by movies like Supersize Me or Fast Food Nation.

It's everywhere around the globe. The only common food taste for my taste bud that eatable.

Because their food is loaded with salt, sugar, and fat. Three things that many americans love to taste in their food. In addition, it's cheap.
