Is it worth going to school for, as far as career opp. and money, and i mean for just working in a salon, spa, or owning your own, not for famous people or anything.

The most important thing is to love what you do when you are happy it reflects outward and attracts people to you. We get one life don't look back and wonder what if try and if it doesn't work move on to something else.
Do you see all the make-up questions people need help so there is a market.
If you are still hesitance would you consider something like Mary Kay you get free training and education and you are an independent contractor so you own your own business. email me if I can tell you more. Good Luck!

Cosmetology- is a HARD Business... I just finished school about 1 year ago & I am having a lot of trouble finding a job. You usually get 1/2 of all sales... and when a haircut cost $40 you usually get $20 and then taxed on top of that... hard hard way to live!

Unfortunately unless you really enjoy that line of work and/or are really great at it then no. If you want to own your own, then that's cool, but make sure you get a business degree of some sort as well as your cosmotology license. I say if you enjoy it then yes it is worth if, if not then no it isn't.

Only if its something that you really enjoy doing. I went to Cosmetology school and at times it could be really tiresome. But if you really enjoy hair, make-up and things like that, it could be a very good business.
