yes, there is a whole movement called the " exgays" who have left the homosexual lifestyle and are living happy., productive straight lives. They number in the thousands. I'm surprised that you haven't heard of them. ooops , no I'm not , everytime its mentioned here in the GLBTFU section of Yahoo a bunch of gay activists get the information deleted by complaining and filing false abuse reports.

I'm not sure if it's plain old fashion honeryness, but I personally know a transgender who is set on her change and I've come to realize, it's her chosen path in life and not a superficial whim. These important decisions if done properly take time and commitment and regardless of the broken hearts of family and friends, this person is set and determined to go with the feeling. If or when a person does give up the life and goes straight again, I'm assuming they started straight and got influenced but became bored and disallusioned and reverted. In that case, I'd say it was just a phase and no real maturity involved...just havin fun. Just curious.

You seem to imply that lesbian and gay people 'turned' that way after being straight.
Let me say this clearly: gay people are not 'confused' or 'disobedient' straight people! Sexual orientation is a deeply-embedded part of one's character, not something one can change as casually as a sweater.
Please allow your mind to grow up a little bit here.

I agree with the above posts and the best was "I am not in love with a gender but with a person..." I have a friend who 'was gay' but finally got married and has a son now. First it was family pressure that made him get married, later he told me that 'you cannot mix the two if you are married' and he lives a happy life now - as he did before, but I always had my doubts as to him being 100% gay...

I don't beleive anyone "reverts back" . People discover that perhaps they have a different sexual orientation, like bisexuality. Even if they never again get together with someone of the same gender or whatever. they don't "go back" but discover that they are sexually oriented as something else alltogether.

When a gay or lesbian turns in to a straight it's clearly because he/she wasn't gay but bi-sexual....
My wife was straight until she met me, but now since 20 years she's a lesbian? NOT!
She's bi-sexual and she says : "I don't fall in love with a gender, I fall in love with a person..."

I have known one in our country, because he is a well known comediene. From gay he returned back to be a real man. Until now he is straight.

No, we mostly consider it as "bi-curious" but the real change/reversion doesn't really exist. Being gay/lesbian, etc. is about who you are.

No. I have known many that were forced to lie and make such claims though.
