I work on Window Xp. My Cd Rom blink 4-5 times and cd icon presented on my system that time with every CD. But, after few sec, blinking stop completely. How can I know that if lens is working properly or not. How can I resolve my problem.

Try a CD cleaner disk, if that doesn't work then the drives are so cheap now just replace it.

just open the cd rom and clean the lens with soft tissue
if it works its good if not den take it to the qualified personal

Dont spend any money on these I bought a new one $50 now three years ago $350

Blink will happen only when some process goes on otherwise it will not.
