Yes ofcourse, but it is not an healthy sign, that too in city ,the places are very proximity to IT bugs, the land cost have increased, the price is increased , everywhere artificial market price is prevailing.I hope this salary is also an artificial one .I still wonder what this wonder kids(Software people) are doing in software and what developments they are making , and in what way it is used by the people. It will be continued for a long period of time or short. I am very much afraid whether my brethren will survive if any debucle happens.

No, I do not agree. Since the IT boom many more persons who were poor have become rich: only a handful have become very rich. With high salaries in IT sector even at faily low and entrant levels, not only have many who would not have otherwise remained unemployed have started earning decent incomes, the salaries in other industries have also risen making many non-IT emploees richer. First find the gap between the standard of living enjoyed by the MPs and MLAs at govt. cost ( include all perks and facilities) and compare with the per capita income in India you will know how many poor people have become richer.

This boom certainly has eradicated the curse of educated unemployed. But there is a flip side to this too. Now you don't get people to work for smaller companies. Though they are also offering same or close to same kind of pay packages. I am speaking from my experience. My company is looking for marketing guys with hardly any success. Where have the guys vanished! Besides this every one wants to get into software and you hardly get people for hardware jobs. So be it - long live IT boom!!!!!

Since the IT Boom? I thought it was since the Bush Administration took over the White House in 2000.
