the fact that they have had the foresight to implement their racist apartheid policies under the banners of BEE and AA which are far more socially acceptable than "apartheid" but in reality are little more than apartheid if not exactly the same? Granted apartheid included policies such as the groups area act etc, however, limiting economic participation of whites in the country gradually via BEE and AA will lead to segregation in any event, will it not?
Who else also believes the excessive crime in this country is a deliberate attempt by the ruling government to persuade as many Europeans as possible to emigrate without actually having to fight a civil war?

I think that the ANC now start to realize that the blacks will not be on the same level as the white people even if they do get the same education and treatment and BEE and AA is away they are trying to give to the blacks what they other wise not would have gotten if they purely relied on their intellectual intelligent.
I think that the ANC also see that they wont get the whites down that easily and now they are willing to try anything in their power
And on the other hand the ANC is busy to fall apart and this is maybe away to keep people voting for them

I think rather that South Africans have been duped by the West in 1990 and gullible in accepting that the ANC was actually different to every other "liberation" movement in Africa. I still believe that the majority of South Africans of all colours are more than willing to integrate and work towards a better Country but that is not the agenda of the ANC. I also do not believe that South African Whites are against people of other races getting a bigger slice of the pie but would like to see this done in an orderly manner without compromising the Country. The ANC behave like vultures and along with the elite party members are looting the Country for personal gain. They have no interest in ordinary people other than to make the right noises that keeps them in line. The question is whether the majority of voters will see through the empty promises and non delivery and vote against them at the next election. And further if the ANC were to lose that election if they would respect the result but it will never happen. As soon as the ANC suspect they may not be re-elected the voting will be rigged and opressive measure against opposition will begin.Deja vu in South Africa in the 70's and 80's and also in Zimbabwe.

What you say is, sadly, probably true. Our forefathers' faith was probably misplaced in picking a bunch of people who would leave a paper trail about their policies such as the old Afrikaner leaders did.

As far as PR goes the ANC did do a good job of hiding their true colors very well. Wether it was well thought out or just a knee-jerk reaction that happened to work very well will be debated until the country is officially another Zimbabwe. Personally, I think they just went with the path of least resistance and are lining their pockets, following the afrikaans saying: "As dit pap reen, skep!"

If the excessive crime is a conspiracy then we have to take into account that it is also hitting the previously disadvantaged just as, if not harder as the currently oppressed people, which shows you how far and at what cost of their own people the ANC will go at cutting off their noses just to spite their faces.

It's true. They turn their back on crime cause they know by doing that, more and more people will emigrate. Many people have already left this country, so I guess they have succeed in their plans so far.

I doubt it, they are trying to bring as many europeans back as possible, something that is just not happening. The one settler one bullet isn't helping (it's very current, believe me), and all that GEE is going to do is to oush even more high level skills out.

You're partly right. The crime will eventually push all the civilized people out of the country. Unfortunately, the crime affects the black majority as well.
These morons are cutting their own throats. Let AIDS take care of the problem for you.

You've got a good point, but the Government is making money out of crime!!!

Every time you claim for something stolen, you pay tax, your alarm system in your house, you pay tax on it every month. Your new car because you got hi jacked, you pay tax on, for every window that breaks, you pay tax on, if you get hurt during a robbery, for your medical bills, ...come on... you know the answer........you pay tax on, clever kid, I can go on and on and on....

Just imagine what huge amount of money the Government makes out of crime. The reason why there's no death penalty, criminals get scared, stop robbing and then gaboooom: Government loses money: DROP IN TAXES!!!!

Mmmm, think about it, CRIME is paying for Mbeki's R90 mil wall.....
