A practice is something you do. That's what a doctor does, is practice medicine. It doesn't have to refer to repetition to learn something, as in practicing the piano; it can simply be the action or process of performing or doing something.

The first answer is right, and agree with the second that it can sound odd. I was a lawyer for over 40 years until I retired and the same term is applied in that profession. Towards the end I sometimes said 'I've stopped practising for I'm now perfect!'

The above answerer is right.

But it does sound a bit funny, doesn't it. You'd hope that, by now, they'd have finished practising and got it right.
