lol thanks guys for replying, some of you said i should put the question in my country section!!! NO need coz simply one day i asked about how to make a budget??? and they replies came answering and giving soloutions for people living in the US and they didnt ask if i live in US or outside!!! they just assumed i'm living next door!!!! while when some other people gives you options whether you are living in thier country or not. i guess SOME americans think that yahoo.com an american website and restricted to them only, it is international site and different cultures and races gathering here.
cheers

Yo Cool Dude
There are a number of us that know of the multi-national reach of this site and a lot of others that do not !! I mean, it's not like the Y-A has an indoctrination program that tells some of these new folks the full scope of things in here !!! And, a lot of the time-- with the posts that come from "you guys" -- there is no mention of from where the post is coming--so, individuals just crack off answers as if you WERE living across the street instead of across the "pond" !! Want localized answers --set localized posts !!!
But even that won't guarantee insight from the answerers !!!

Well, if you are living in a different country, I would assume you will go to yahoo answers/UK or whichever country you live at. So if you ask a question on this yahoo answers, then yes, I would think you are living in the U.S. I am Chinese by the way, so I am not what you think as the typical American "thinking everyone in the world is living next door" girl.

People tend to respond to the world as they see it. Yes Americans tend to see the world as ending when you get to the border, but a lot of that has to do with the history as well as the geography of the country. The US is comprised of 50 seperate states which live together yet independent. So that there is no big push to integrate into another set of nations is hardly surprising, we struggle enough just to deal with our own. So what may be seen to you as answering as if you were right next door, the answer has already been generalized to a major section of the world.

Some Americans are lovely people, gifted with wit, intelligence, and good looks. But alas, just as with any country, they can't all be like that. So by way of answering your question, allow me to ask you two questions of my own:

- Assuming that all countries have roughly the same percentage of morons per capita, what will be the biggest factor in deciding which country's morons are most often heard from on the Internet?
- Which country has the largest on-line population in the world (in absolute terms)?

P.S. To all the people who are pointing out that this is Yahoo! US, thanks for proving my point. When I look at this site, it's called "Yahoo!7 Answers" (Yahoo! is affiliated with the Seven Network in Australia)

P.P.S. And to the people saying that this is English-language YA! and foreigners should go to their country site, there are five countries on that list where the official language is English, and the US is only one of them.

Man Im really showng my hind end tonight(morning). This is the second time I've felt a strong need to send out an apology.
Yeah, earlier I answered a question with a strong "American " sentiment (not ant-non-American). And I really need to be a little more Aware, and/or Accomodateing (sp?) to other users of YA!

Americans are Americicentric (coined word, I apologize). It reminds me of the story of the homesick astronauts who noted that it was springtime back on earth, when in fact it was springtime only in their hemisphere. It is a natural tendency and I am sorry for it. Try not to take it personally though, we sometimes forget that the web is worldwide.
