ok i cant stand it anymore- ive had diarrhea since yesterday and my stomach is all gurggley i'm literally peeing out of my butt etc etc.. Can I take Imodium-AD while breastfeeding???? I actually have an 'off-brand' but its active ingrediant is LOPERAMIDE HCL - same thing as imodium ad- thanks- i need something!!!

call a walgreens or other 24 hr pharmacy. ask the pharmacist. they should be able to tell you

From what I understand the best thing is to let it run its course. If you take remedies it can make the infection last longer. If you cut out all dairy products and drink lots of water to flush it out. Dairy products make it linger too! No idea what youcan take when you're breastfeeding. Hope you're feeling better soon!

yes you can but u have to consult a dr only if you need to take it more than a week. I use this link you can look at it too it gives you safe and unsafe meds to take while breastfeeding and yu can take Kaopectate (anti diarrhea) meds

Honey, you need to call a pharmacy and talk to them, they know as much as a Dr. and they will be very helpful to make sure that you get the right product that will not harm your baby.
