The Scriptures clearly instruct a true worshipper to marry only another true worshipper.

(Exodus 23:32) You are not to conclude a [marriage or other] covenant with them or their gods.

(Deuteronomy 7:3) And you must form no marriage alliance with [unbelievers]. Your daughter you must not give to his son, and his daughter you must not take for your son.

(1 Corinthians 7:39) She is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord.

(Nehemiah 13:25) You should not give your daughters to [the unbeliever's] sons, and you should not accept any of their daughters for your sons or yourselves.

(2 Corinthians 6:14) Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers.

There are many who have. I think it largely depends on the 2 people involved. My nephew's mother was studying to be a Witness while married to a man who was not interested. Their marraige did not succede. However, there were ALLOT of BIG issues in the relationship.

On, the other hand. I knew a woman who was Witness and she and her husband stayed together till he died. They cared for each other deeply. She chose to "lead by example". IE She felt that it would only cause problems to try to badger or push him to change his views. And rightly so. Instead she continued to serve Jehovah, and used her growing relationship with Him to enrich her marraige.

My mother got married with my father in 1986. On day in 1992 the JW knocked on our door. My mom answered the door and shortly after she began a study with them. My father didn't do the same thing. He was against it. In time he changed his mind and he might begin to study the Bible with us. I, my mom and my sis are JW.
