I feel one shouldnt go by weight but by apperance like u said, but i have too also say this that is she is only 14 she is still growing so she will lose tht 'puppy fat' as some ppl call it, i suggest stop all take outs and drinks n snacks, and more excerise and not only will she have a healthy body but also a strong one, dnt stress too much on her weight as yet, ok so u feel she looks plump but keep it to urself for making ur daughter aware of this could also lead her to the extreme side too.

Check the internet for a BMI index, this is the best way to make sure she is healthy. Also maybe you should look into finding a nutrion workshop in your community. It's not good for a girl her age to think she is fat, it could turn into an obsession if she's not educated now about how to eat right and exercise. If she won't listen to you maybe she'll listen to a stranger. Present it as something you can learn and do together, for a better quality of life, not as a negative thing.

tell her weight is just a number and it doesn't matter
see, im 14 (well in like a week but watever) and i weigh 9.5 stones (and yes i just looked this up cuz i didn't know what stones were lol) but see, im actaully healthy.
i know this for a fact
i know im not fat but at times i do feel overweight but i look much much lighter than a lot of other girls that are indeed lighter than me.
see, most girls my age are usually 8.2-8.5 stones..
but that doesn't mean i look fatter than them.
i actually look skinner or as skinny as them lol.
just tell her not to worry.
she is probably not overweight.
and if she does feel this way tell her to exercise.
that's always good.
but just make sure she doesn't hurt her body and continues to eat right because that is what is most important.
