The truth is as follows. No there isnt any ground breaking evidence that proves his existence, at least not publically accessable. However, I am one who is a true progressive thinker, and have adopted the notion that anything that can help people out of trouble and problems is good. Anything that suggests positive behavior is good. Many people dispute the existence of God because they think that theres no time for "folklore" and theyre so smart they dont need any advice on societal issuses. Remember that those whom think like this are those whom are within the "high society" of thinkers, and those whom do believe in God usually belong to Middle Class and Lower Class societies. This is true, however I ask you this, if those whom rule the world are so smart, why is the world in so much turmoil these days?

Actually most people ruling the world are religious, the majority of them christian. I don't consider myself of a higher class, but if you must know I don't believe in god. If it makes sense to someone else then that's fine for them as long as they don't shove it in my face and assume I want their blessing. I look at nature and the idea of god just doesn't make sense to me.

You are right about that fact that anything that suggest positive behavior is good but you also have to remember that religion has promoted a lot of negative behavior as well. For a good example of that look at the religous beliefs of certain groups in the middle east and how they use "God" as justification for lots of negative behavior, and it's not just modern fundamentalist groups that promote that but throughout history you'll find most every religion doing the same thing in one way or another, (Crusades, Jihads etc.). You also have to look at the fact that up until very recently the majority of the people were poorly educated or had no education at all, religion was a useful tool in controlling the populace simply because they weren't "progressive thinkers" and couldn't form judgements of there own on matters like this.

The idea that atheism is confined solely to high society is false, I am certainly not a member of that class and I seriously doubt the existence of God, or at least the Judeo/Christian theory of him. People begin to question the existence of God because they see the world around them and it doesn't fit at all with the way the religion portrays him.

When I can pray for help and it is answered, when I can SEe science can't explain life Thur evolution and I can see the Galaxy with one spinning one way and another right next to it spinning a different direction I know there is a power we can't see just like radiation the atom bomb and air to name just a few, when I see the discoveries of life deep in the sea that they say can't exist and animals that have been extinct for millions on years pop up I know that we humans with our short sightedness have no clue how this would exists I know God is there. and here and every where, I know also that there is evil out there too and it tries to win over the Good, but look at the countless acts of kindness of strangers done in the name of God that you can't dismiss or the living machines that we can't see with the naked eye only with an electron microscope do I really understand that there is no way two slimy substances got together created life found a way to reproduce and make the beautiful people we see Here on earth, get married and continue to learn for generations to the point of space travel and more. In fact it surprises me how stupid anyone could believe this is just a chance happening in the universe, epically since in the bible it tells us of other worlds and is a manual of how to take care of earth and our own bodies. And science is only now understanding that. And the evil in the world is caused by man whith his hate and his inconsiderate ways for others of his kind on this earth and the knd that want to own everything and destroy the weak and timid, that is why the U.S. has been given the supreame power to help control this violence in this world yet many do not wish to see this happen, simply because they are not the ones in power controling it. sad isn't it. Ther is a hell and we are soon to be in it.

If God doesn't exist and the people who think the big bang theory is right, then who started the big bang? Since people have witnessed miracles, who makes the miracles happen? If God never existed, how do you explain the birth of Jesus Christ to a Virgin Mary?

Ahh you have it all wrong my friend. Those who are on your "High Society" list are evil doers. I'm sure you don't think Mel Gibson is a "High Society" guy do you? You are a little misinformed when it comes to your thinking here. If you took the time to actually read the Bible, there is a verse that reads like this." It is easier for a camel to walk thru the eye of a needle, than it is for a rich man to get into the gates of heaven" It is a very powerful statement as to why those on your "High Society" list are doomed after their life here on earth. They think they are mightier than God, simply because they do not fear God, its pure ignorance.

The people who are at the top may be smarter than the average human, but they also tend to be more of an asshole; a Gandi only comes once in a century. To obtain power you often have to be consistently egotistical and self-interested or some egotistical and self-interested asshole will climb up the pile and take your place. Power and leadership attracts the least altruistic. Thus, the world is in turmoil.

As for why more lower class people believe in a higher power, it is likely rooted in the fact that life took a crap on them and they are hoping for the afterlife will serve as redemption for their struggles. For rich people, it is just the opposite. They have been afforded a large piece of the pie on Earth. Unfortunately, Jesus Christ once said, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." And if the bible is indeed the truth, this is added motivation for a rich person to bank on atheism.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

You got it all wrong. God IS every living thing. How do you think you got here?? God is the life force that runs through us. Take away your flesh and there you have it. God is energy. God is spirit. God is light. He is unseen and unheard. To know him is to love him. Without him nothing makes sense.

It's called faith. No need for any more hard evidence. And for those who think that believing in God has something to do with social discrimination is clearly deranged.
