It would depend on what region of India you hail from. Those in north india are of Aryan Origin

(and to the previous user; yes aryans did move to india from their homeland in central asia, and other aryan tribes moved to iran and to other parts of Europe)

If you live in southern india then most probably you are a Dravidian
(the natives of india and the inhibitants of the indus valley civilization)

The Indus valley civilization colapsed due to the shifting/drying up of the rivers that sustained the cities, arund 2000Bc

The aryans moved into india in a series of migrations as pastroial/nomadic people starting from around 1700Bc( there was no "aryan invasion" that destroyed the Indus valley cities as previously thought; because by the times aryan tribes moved into india after the Indus civilization had collapsed)

nothern indians generally speak languages that derive from sanskrit (and belong to the Indo European languge family)

south Indian speak languages that belong to the Dravidian language family.
