What music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s do you think kids nowadays would do themselves some good to listen to?

- Led Zepplin
- Frank Zappa
- KRS-1
- Run DMC
- The Exploited
- Black Sabbath
and of course
- The Beatles
Oh, and this little listen is for anyone who listens to so called "emo" nowadays:

Led Zepplin and Beatles for sure! I'm not an old timer, 26, but I love them. I listened to the Beatles when I was like 4 or 5. I loved them ever since. Real Rock N' Roll!!! Black Sabbath rocks too. I was never big on U2, thou a respect there musical stature.

80's Madonna , Prince , Billy Idol, Springsteen, Lionel Ritchie (nichol's dad) , Phil Collins,......

I will always be a U2 fanatic but I don't just listen to their older stuff... I like their new stuff just fine.

my little brother is 16 and he has always been obsessed 70s and 80s music. from your list, what i know for sure that he loves are Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath..i'm sure he'd recognize more of those than i do though :)

From your list only the very earlt Beatles will be remembered by my children and grandchildren. Today's rap, hip hop ,metal and other noise will be long forgotten(thank God) because they were never, in any way, music.
