Process File: csrss.exe or csrss
Process Name: Microsoft Client/Server Runtime Server Subsystem

Description:
csrss.exe is the main executable for the Microsoft Client/Server Runtime Server Subsystem. This process manages most graphical commands in Windows. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Note: csrss.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Determining whether csrss.exe is a virus or a legitimate Windows process depends on the directory location it executes or runs from in WinTasks.

So if you deleted it from the C:\Windows\System32 folder then you deleted a system file and thats bad for you.

You can acces the list of programs which run at the startup by Start->Run..->msconfig

Yeah, it's a bad idea. I don't know what is csrss.exe for. But all I know is, csrss.exe will always be there executed everytime you boot/restart. Even you format your harddisk & re-install WinXP, csrss.exe will always be there.

It's related to services. Look for the services that use csrss.exe and disable it. Look what will happen. If it doesn't affect anything, then continue disable it.
So far, I can't find any services that use csrss.exe.
