I think it matters if you are male or female. Since you already stipulated that all my family members and pets are safe we start with primal urges. As a woman I would be driven to save things of sentimental value. I would probably grab all my photo albums first. I would have to say with certainty that my husband would go for his Ipod or some other electronic toy.

Well, as long as my wife was safe, nothing; I'd probably move my truck & her car away from the house, then watch it burn. It's just a thing, filled with things. Not that important.

I have children, who can't walk yet, they are first, even if i die trying
my computer is in a bad spot to be running back into a burning building to save... all my music(that i wrote) is on here. I would be really depressed to see it go, but i would not go back for it...

except your family and friends maybe YOURSELF.. if you are still in the burning house.. if you already in the safe place.. it ok to leave everything in the house because the LIFE is much more important than anything

if family has already got out then i would save my photos..so many memories that cant be replaced and i would save my shoes.i love my shoes. everything else i own has been mauled and is in dire need of replacement no thanks to my daughter. at least it would give me an excuse to go shopping on my partners card!

after my son, it would have to be pc back up disc with all the photos of my son on when he was a baby!
