My hubby has done this a few times. He farts in his sleep & as he's pushing he accidently peed on himself! He is 41 & has been to a urinologist & said it was nothing. It could be that he had a dream of going to the bathroom & had an accident! Or he might not have fully emptied his bladder before bed. If it happpens again take him to the doctors! Do Not mention diapers as this WILL SERIOUSLY depress him!

I don't think diapers is quite the answer, just now. It may not happen again for a very long time. If it does, he'll need to see a urologist to be sure nothing is wrong. If he's having this problem on a nightly basis, I'd get him some incontinent briefs that have padding in them. They'll be much more comfortable than the diapers, and less likely to scream "old man" at him, if you know what I mean.

I'd invest in a vinyl mattress cover with a zipper and put that over the mattress to protect it, then use a regular quilted mattress pad under the sheet for comfort. Some medical supply places have waterproof pads (about 30 inches wide and 45 inches long) that you could discreetly put under the sheet on his side of the bed, in case of another accident.

Just be sure you have plenty of laundry soap on hand, and give him lots of love because he's feeling vulnerable and sad. Smile a lot and let him know he's still special to you.

You really should go back to school and get an education so you can put together a cognitive sentence.

Bed wetting, which I assume is what you are trying to convey, can be a sign of a number of serious medical problems in adults. I would suggest that he see a physician if it persists.

At 48, he could be experiencing prostatitis (enlargement of his prostate gland). Have him see his doctor.

Are you sure this wasn't semen? It's not unusual for males to ejaculate during their sleep during an erotic dream.

Only his doctor can determine his health status. Your husband has nothing to feel embarassed nor ashamed about. Have him get a physical to rule out any health problems.

He should see a urologist. He can be checked for prostate problems, bladder infection, etc. By the way, don't tell him he needs a diaper. Humiliating him isn't going to help. What are you thinking?

Better get early medical help. Bring him to the doctor for check up. It could be something wrong with the urinal function.

Uhm, you need to take him to a doctor because this could be a sign of a serious medical condition.

HAVE HIM SEE A DOCTOR. It could be a sign of a much larger problem.

...get some "drip" irrigation tubing and a small valve at Home Depot.

...set his alarm so that he can get up and "drain" his pipes.

...who needs diapers when you have technology!
