Question

i read an article about my cousin in the paper and i want to know what his arraignment means.

Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Samuel Saunders (DOB 05/01/46) of 10 Pennyfield Avenue, Bronx, New York and Juan Bernardez (DOB 04/04/77) of 1588 Minford Place, Bronx, New York were arraigned today on four counts of Murder in the Second Degree, class “A“ Felonies, one count of Kidnapping in the First Degree, a class “A“ Felony, two counts of Robbery in the First Degree, class “B“ Felonies, two counts of Burglary in the First Degree, class “B “ Felonies, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class “C” Felony relating to the death of Dr. Leandro Lozado, a doctor with a pediatric practice in the Bronx.



On January 3, 2007 the defendants allegedly entered the victim’s home at 43 Brendan Hill Road and robbed him at gun point. While perpetrating the robbery, the defendants shot the victim in the head.



The victim was found dead in his home later the same afternoon.



Saunders and Bernardez were remanded to the County Jail.



Their next court date is June 13th, 2007.



Saunders and Bernardez face a maximum of life in state prison on the top charge.



Assistant District Attorney Julia Cornachio, Chief of the Narcotics and Firearms Bureau, is prosecuting the case.

hi, this situation is extremely terrible, I hope your doing OK with this ordeal. However, as the previous person said, the only thing they need now, is some really, really good lawyers. However, ensure that all evidences are true and correct and have loopholes or no loopholes, try and find out their state of mind at the time and their history as at times extenuating circumstances may as well work in justifying a problem, in their case the sentence will be made lighter, depending on the jury and explanations received from the defendants, lawyers and Psychologists. Hope this helps a bit. Pray with me, Father I pray that you would give guidance in this situation, have your way in assisting and giving peace.
