Consult an attorney so you will know where you stand and at least have a plan. To go off on your husband half ****** would be a poor decision.

I would speak to a lawyer then gets copies of marriage license, tax returns, Social Security cards, bank acct. Then put 1/2 the money in another account just for your self! After you speak to a lawyer then ask the him how to tell your husband that you are divorcing him. I would suggest that you get a restraining order against him just to be on the safe side!! I would also suggest that you ask your lawyer if you should have a cop with you when you tell him in case he gets violent!!
I'm in kind of the same situation you are in but my hubby doesn't cheat but is emotionally abusive & after 2 months apart he came back & it picking up where he left off! Nothing changed! I don't even feel for him the same way I used to! I feel more like his mother or roommate then his wife!! I'm not even attracted to him the way I once was!! I know if I were to tell him that I wanted a divorce he wouldn't believe me but if I showed him the divorce papers he would go off!!
I wish you luck!!

Definitely call a lawyer 1st & make sure your rights are protected. If you are serious about leaving for good, make sure you take care of your interests & safety. He may do what mine did & start moving funds & property to his family & friends to keep you from getting an even split of matrimonial goods. Keep very detailed records of everything, financial & otherwise. You didn't say if you have any children together. If so, do whatever you can to make sure your children are protected as well. Unless there is a threat to them, joint custody would be the best thing for them so that they can continue to have a positive relationship with both parents. Always remember, you are a valuable person who deserves a partner who will respect you & treat you well.

Call your lawyer first!!! Also you need to get some of your own money sit aside just in case. You said he cheated right? Well If you have proof that will help you in court and you could possibly get more money. Be careful and make sure you are sure you want a divorce. But you really need some legal advice I wouldn't tell anyone that you are even thinking of a divorce until you know your options. I wish you luck!!!

first leave. then get a no contact order. this is to ensure your safety. not to say anything will happen, but if your serious about leaving then do it trust me. then you have all the time you need to call a lawyer ect. ect. If I was you though I'd let the lawyer tell your husband.

Call the lawyer.Take 1/2 the money and put in seperate bank acct to be sure your 1/2 doesn't disappear. Find receipts, tax records and make copies. there are some good books on preparing for divorce. read a little so you know how not to get screwed before telling him. Good luck
