Hi
Take the MRT from Longshan Temple Station to Taipei City Hall MRT stop. Exit 2, on your right there is a bus stop for Free Shuttle to 101 building From 11am ~10pm
(Both stops on the Blue line so no need to switch trains)

Get to the nearest MRT station that you probably found to get to your hotel. Figure out how to get onto the blue line.
Get off at the Taipei City Hall stop. Follow the signs up. You can then either walk there outside past Warner Village, New York New York and Eslite. (about 5-10 mins depending on the lights) or take a shuttle bus that runs every 10 mins I believe between the station to 101.
Or you can take a taxi (you will see a LOT of them everywhere)- and not think at all! But thats just not fun.

One way is to get the MRT from Long-Shan Temple MRT station to 'Taipei city hall MRT station' which is just a 5 - 10 min walk to the 101.
Alternatively you could get any bus straight down Xing Yi Road.
My preference would be a taxi which would cost you around NT120 - 4dollars.
