I had a wonderful collection of Mysteries of the Unexplained and in one I read how to put myself to sleep in no time at all. I've been doing this when needed since 199l. First TELL yourself to relax..you say relax using a relaxing tone, you'll be surprised at how quickly your body responds because it trusts you. After you relax begin counting on a loop or over and over from one to five very slowly and deliberatly so your body knows you really mean it. Before you know it, it's morning time! I'm always pleasantly surprised, and usually I just sleep with no dreams. That's the best sleep, and you'll notice you slept in the same position all night,,,that is, the blankets aren't somewhere on the floor.

Take a hot bath. Use a lavender oil. Try a hot tea with chamomile. Put on some music and take a nice nap. Get a massage.

Yoga is very good if you don't mind feeling/looking like a pillocl. Otherwise, a long bath with a good book and a glass of wine does it for me!

lately I used a music program ( Cubase) to create a sampled and tuned Fart Keyboard. Hours of fun for the whole family.

I personally need to be left alone in my house or visit the beach for a few hours.
