The zipper of my pants always comes down easily so I always ends up with an open fly. How can I fix it? It is not brokem, it's just that the zipper falls down easily.

The pants are either too tight, have been worn out or are cheap quality.

If you know how to sew, it's easy to do yourself. Simply remove the fly stitching around the zipper, and replace the zipper with a new, matching one. Make sure it's one for jeans because if you get the everyday polyester ones with plastic teeth, this will just come apart again as the teeth in these have less strength. Zippers always come with a how-to guide on them, with pictures, so even if you know how to do a little stitching on a machine, you can do this. Then what's left is to redo the fly stitching.

Or you can take them to a seamstress or drycleaners and have them replace it. It shouldn't cost more than $10 or $15.

You can use a saftey pin, but you'll need one bigger than 1.5" if you want it to lie flat. Otherwise you'll have a bulge. Sometimes though even this doesn't work because if the zipper is coming apart because the teeth aren't locking into one another, if you put the pin up higher, the teeth will come apart below that, and when that happens, you need to take out the fly stitching to put the zipper pull back in it's place.

Put a safety pin on the inside, across the zipper and make sure it lies flat when you pull them back up or it will come open and poke you.

Use a safety pin...Zip and then pin underneath the zipper-upper...so that it can not slide down... Call it a "Hold-n-Zip-r Up....

There's no other way than change your zipper.
