I hope it's a myth... I don't get the hiccups very often. If it's not a myth, then someone thinks of me every time I drink Coke through a straw. :)

Nonsense! Everyone knows hiccups are caused by a mischievous little gnome that lives in your belly. When he gets angry, he tickles your diaphragm with a feather, and you hiccup.
