I have installed Windows XP.But i have not partitioned to many drives previously. So i want to format and partition and reinstall XP?
Explain me how to do this? I don't have Partition Magic to do this.So i tried FDISK in DOS.But it is giving ' FDISK is not recognised as internal or external command'.So help me in formatting, partitioning and reinstalling XP?
But there is option in XP CD itself for formatting and Partitioning, but for me it is not asking that step?

if you are having only one local drive must be C then insert the cd of XP and boot the pc and delete all your partition and make as many partitions as you want there is a option to create partions while installing windows xp. just follow the instructions and dont think that this will ruin your pc.

I recommend you to install Acronis Disk Director and make all partitioning tasks without reinstalling XP and formatting a drive. Disk Director is very handy and useful program with many helpful features. Learn more about Disk Director Here: http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/diskdirectorsuite/

To make partitions, it is not necessary to format and install windows again. Use the recovery cd of Paragon Disk Manager and boot with cd. you can resize your primary partition and create logical partitions on the extended area. If you want, i can send you the small cd image.
