Im torn between the two. Which one is better? If my vehicle make matters (which i doubt it does) i have an '05 Dodge Neon SXT with a few performance upgrades on it. Ive used Castrol Syntec since i got the car (26000 miles ago) and hear some crappy things about it. Wanna switch it up a bit!!

neither go with Royal Purple best synthetic on the market. its pricy but worth it. but between the two your looking at id personally go with valvoline.

There is no non-bias empirical data to show that any of them are better than any other - though you can visit each website and see why each 'says' it's better. I use Mobil 1 and Amsoil - and I have seen no discernable difference - hence, I go with the cheapest for me. I have started using Engine Sentry® in my filter at each change - and that has made a difference. You can get them at auto parts stores or at the link below.

Mobil ! has been around for a while. They say Royal Purple products are good but I haven't tried the yet.
