It is neither hyderabad not mubai. It is bangalore. the track will be ready a couple of years after the international airport is built. The airport is expected to be over by 2009 and in 2011 india will be included in the f1 calendar.

Formula One Management has revealed that Abu Dhabi has secured the rights to host a Formula One Grand Prix from 2009. As was reported last week, the announcement was made during the Abu Dhabi F1 Festival yesterday, February 3. The 2009 Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix track is being constructed by Aldar Properties on the 2,550 hectare Yas Island, situated on the east coast of Abu Dhabi.

Although they had began construction in Hyderabad, after the change of govt. there, the construction was scrapped and "indefinitely postponed". It's as good as gone from there now. In the recent past, Mumbai and Bangalore have shown interest but it will most probably be in New Delhi. It will be a street circuit and will perhaps come into being in 2009.

Actually it was in Chandra Babu Naidu(the then CM of Andhra Pradesh) when he planned to build a Formula1 circuit in Hydrabad, for this he went to Suzuka and gathered all informations and eligibility criterias for a F1 circuit to be constructed. But due to the fall of his government, that project was dropped........NMN

hey it's in niether of the places,actually,the real thing is that Vijay Malaya ,who's the head of the indian racing federation,has mentioned a plan to biuld a race track in janpath,delhi,remember the janpath where the republic day celebrations take place?so that's it and he's told to meet sheel dixit about it

i am not sure but der are 4-5 contenders for da F1 track in India.....they are Andra pradesh.haryana,punjab,maharastra,and new delhi.....may be it is in Hyderabad for AP
