Honey, how many people do you think are in the room right now?

No. Try again.

Seriously though, just take him aside (so you're alone) and tell him.

I put the pregnancy test strip in a card for him... (OK, we were both kind of in shock, because although we really wanted another baby, we had a 4-1/2 month old at the time... and it turned out that I was already 6 weeks pregnant).

You could make him a card that says, "happy father's day!"; suggest that you buy a doll for your older child so s/he can 'practice'; drop hints about pregnancy symptoms; say, "You'll never guess who's pregnant" and then let him guess... or write him a love poem & toward the end write about how you appreciate him as a father and know that the new baby will too.

I think it's great to tell him in a special way.

Good luck!

you could do this:

at night, before you go to sleep, you say to him "hey? Do you hear something?" then of course he's gonna say, "huh? I don't hear anything..." insist on it (but don't piss him off) and then say, "i think i know where the sound is coming from."

and then get up, hold his hand and look at him straight in the eye and put his hand on your belly. and then whisper in his ear, "I think it's coming from there. we're having a second!" and give each other a hug. :P

that's just a suggestion. I actually have a lot more in mind, but that entails purchasing stuff, which isn't practical anymore since you guys are supposed to prepare for the coming of a new member. :)

congratulations!

Congratulations :) consistent with possibility you may make him a cup of tea...placed some biscuits on a tea plate and dad your useful try next to the biscuits! With my new being pregnant I handed him the try on an identical time as he replaced into laying in mattress and stated "does that appear as if 2 lines to you?"!!

When I was pregnant with my second baby I put the pregnancy stick in a box and wrapped it as a present with a card.

I've also heard of people who create a "baby" dinner. For example, they serve baby lamb chops with baby corn, baby carrots, etc.

Congratulations and Good Luck!

I just found out I'm pregnant today.. And my husband is away with army training for two weeks, so i called him and asked him how far along his sister is, and he said 5 weeks, and i told him i had her beat by 3 days.

hmmm, if you still have the pregnany test you could put it in a cute gift box ( make sure the cap is on the dip stick part though) or even like make dinner for him and where the fork goes put the test stick there (again make sure the dip stick cap is on and the test stick is clean...haha) see how long it takes him to figure out why he would have a pregnancy test for a fork;) men are silly to watch!

Have your first child wear a t-shirt saying, "big sister/brother in training" see how long it takes your hubby to realize what is on the shirt

Leave the pregnancy test box out where he can find it. That way he will bring up the subject if you are nervous. The other ideas were cute.
