Mine are as follows:
1. Kobe Bryant-has the most complete offensive game in the league, is a proven clutch player, can play stiffling defense, can be a bit selfish at times

2. LeBron James-hardest player to guard because of his size and athletism, a mediocore defender and lacks Kobe's complete range but nonetheless can score with the best of them, is a thriple-double threat every game

3. Tim Duncan-is simply a winner, can make a case for MVP and DPOY every year, uses the most fundamental moves to dominate inside, capable of improving surrounding players(ie. Ginobli, Parker)

4. Steve Nash-clutch player, completely unselfish, fast, best playmaker today, can score from outside or inside, lacks size and defense

5. Dwyane Wade-clutch player, capable of taking over a game, able to score at will, lacks pressure defense and offensive variety

Dear Axel 15,

1) Kobe Bryant: Can take over a game like nobody else and when surrounded with the right players- makes his teammates better. Also can be a lock-down defender. Is there anyone else you want with the ball with the game on the line and one shot?

2) Steve Nash: Best point guard in the league and can make the players around him better.

3) Dwayne Wade: Tough player, who continues to improve. Having seen him live, he has one of the quickest first steps i've ever seen.

4) Kevin Garnett: Double-Double every night. If he was surrounded with a better supporting cast, wow!

5) Tim Duncan: Consistent and fundamentally sound. Needs to be more aggressive down the stretch and also knock down throws with the game on the line. I give him the nod over several other guys because of his defensive presence. It makes him a lot more all around than: LeBron and Dirk.

***Honorable mention: Dirk Nowitizki: Dirk is playing definetly top 5 ball this year- but Dirk has had a history of not delivering in the clutch (ie: last year's finals and just last week phoenix vs dallas- he's a near 90% free thrower and missed 2 in the final minute) and until he does it in the post-season

#1 Dirk Nowitski - he is simply a winner and perhaps the most humble of all NBA Personalities. He is a great offensive talent, with a great team concept who can score from outside, inside at will, while also exploiting double and triple teams with great passing for easy assists. He is only the 3rd player in NBA history to have 50% FG, 90% FT while scoring over 20 ppg...the other two are Larry Bird and Steve Nash. In addition to his offense, he has worked on his defensive ability and has transformed what was a glaring weakness into one of his major strengths. Not only as an individual, but as a team player who recognizes when to help and when to play man up.

#2 Tim Duncan. Great character player, great team player and has lead his team to Championships.

#3 Shaq...even though he is dropping and on the major downslide of his career...He was by far the most dominant player of his era and he helped make others better by leading the Lakers and the Heat to NBA Championships...along the way players like Kobe and Dwayne have ridden his coat tails to become two of the most overhyped players of our generation.

#4 LeBron James - He and his team will be scarry when he gets to his prime. He is the first player that I have seen who could lead his team in the way that Jordan did in his day.

#5 Amare Stoudamire - One of the most unsung hero's of the Suns and his game would translate onto any other team in the league. The guy is a monster and he helped create the myth of Nash.

On the reverse, I don't care much for Kobe due to his obvious character issues. He can be credited for breaking the Lakers up and thus effectively destroying a great dynasty.

Nash, I don't care for as he plays virtually no defense...he's an offensive hilight reel machine, but he can be beat and usually does get beat which is his achilles heal. I also believe he is severly over hyped.

D. Wade...please, it's as if the NBA decided to make him a poster child after Kobe screwed up...he has more hip pocket help from the officials than any player in the history of the NBA...Jordan included!!!

1. Steve Nash.
He's extremly unselfish, he's a good shooter passer & ballhandler, beside he is very good making the right decicions on court.

2. Kobe Bryant.
He is maybe the best scorer in nba history.
And if you look at his team it's pretty amazing that he has caried the Lakers to the 7th spot all alone, all teams above 7 has got at least 2 stars.

3. Dwyane Wade.
He is so unselfish and very talentet, he has a very good combination of scoring and passing.
Also he is a very strong leader, we saw that in the finals last year.
And i think he's the best in the east.

4. Jason Kidd.
Even do he's team suck, i think you gotta give this guy some credit.
This year he really stepted up and is having maybe he's best season ever, he is averaging career high in, reb. and triple-doubles.
He's is the second best PG in the L, after Nash.

5. Deron Williams.
He led the Jazz (with Carlos Boozer) to the best season, they had since Stockton & Malone.
He is second in assist after Nash, and has a very well court vision, and a high basketball IQ.

In my opinion, the #1 player hasn't been mentioned by anyone else yet, and that player is Shawn "The Matrix" Marion.

As for #s 2 through 5, there's room to debate among their positioning, as there is also room to debate who deserves my praise, who doesn't, and who (besides Kobe Bryant, as nobody will ever convince me that he deserves to be in the Top 10, let alone the Top 5) should be placed on a Top 5 list. Below is my list (for now, as it could change between now and the next time a question like this is asked and I choose to answer), including Marion because it would just look weird without a #1.

1. Marion
2. Dirk Nowitzki
3. Gilbert Arenas
4. Josh Smith
5. Pau Gasol

Steve nash is the flat out best point guard in my opinion.I agree with all of your favorite players.exept Kobe he's a good player and all it's just the fact that he's selfish that makes me dislike him.I switch him with amare stoudemire.
