Well, Grandma, when you're as "old" as you are, you can go out and have your own hoopla. Don't expect the whole planet to carry on making a fuss. The only ones who can expect that are children, centegenerians, and anybody who doesn't want their birthdays remembered.
On the other hand, not remembering at all is pretty cold. I guess I have to agree with you there.

Be grateful.. . .I'm getting ready to turn 30 in July. I've already told everyone that I just want to be left alone, on my bed with the covers pulled over my head, so that I can feel sorry for myself and cry and eat lot and lots of ice cream.....do ya think they listen? No. . .there off planning some huge birthday party ( I'm starting to think they just want an excuse to drink) and no matter how much I object they don't care!!!! I wish the as sholes in my life would leave me alone and respect my wishes. However, I can say that it's been years since anybody has actually acknowledged my b-day.

I'm 37 and I still expect a big hoopla but have had any hoopla in years. Do you know where I can find some?

Might as well get over it, nobody will care until you turn 40 so they can make fun of you for being over the hill. I'm 32 and it's just another day. Happy Birthday!

Sounds like the 2nd answer, unless they're planning a surprise! Not even your family remembered??

I expect close family members to remember. That's about it.

YES! And I'm there too, but I'm not old! Still, why not have another reason to celebrate life? Enjoy it while you're young, when you turn 90, then worry about age.

I'm 31, and it's just another day to me. My ultimate goal is for my birthday to pass one year without my knowledge.
