I don't think I know a single adult, that hasn't at one time or another.
Last time for me was with the metal at the bottom of the pot handle.

The last time was with the iron while ironing. I just touched it for some reason even though I knew it was hot
The worst time i burned my self, I accidentally dumped boiling water on myself. I lived in a really small place with a tiny fridge under the counter and I fell backwards trying to get something out and knocked a pot on my head... My whole face and chest were covered in 2nd degree burns.

Let me tell you, my pasty white Irish skin is a magnet for hot scolding surfaces. My skin is like a moth to a flame. The last time I got burned was taking chicken out of the oven. Somehow my potholder failed me,... yet again.

Pulling a Digiorno pizza out of the oven and my arm grazed the oven shelf. have a nice scar across my arm about 2 inches long.

I was taking lasagna out of the oven and of course I accidently touched the hot pan without the oven mitt.

I have never burned myself. However, 20 years ago, someone else accidentally dropped a red hot clothes iron on me.

actually it was today we had a fish fry and I got burned pretty good with hot oil dripping from the dipper I was using... won't happen again cause I threw it in the trash and will buy the proper equipment soon.

Being really stupid and letting my bare legs touch the pipes on the back of a motorcycle as we parked. This while simultaneously hearing the words "Be careful, don't touch the
pipes, you will get burned."
YEP, DUMB!!!!!!! (and yes dumb to be riding in shorts too, I know!)
