Carr is a good QB, he was on the worst team in the NFL, hands down. Some say he was afraid to throw the ball, yet when he got time to throw the ball he did it very well. Look at Andre Johnson, he had several seasons of 1000+ yards receiving. Why? Because Carr can throw the ball, and he can do it accurately when he isn't getting hammered. What was the statistic? Somewhere around 265 or so sacks during his 5 years with Houston? No Carr is not a bad QB, and he will flourish somewhere else. Houston is a bad football team, with bad owners who wanted a convenient scape goat. Way to drop the ball Houston. But for the record, I am VERY GLAD they cut Carr, because Carr really deserves a shot somewhere where he can actually have a chance to shine, and Houston will NEVER commit to building anything other than a basement dwelling garbage team, until the ownership changes.

Ok here's my thoughts on the David Carr issue...Carr was afraid (IMO) to throw the ball. Now that may be because he didn't think he had enough time before he got sacked because the line couldn't hold the defense. Either way there are many issues the Texans need to address QB being one. IMO Carr never showed a spark of being a good QB. Now they can use the draft picks they have left to build up that O-Line!!
Now about last years draft, I've said this 100 times. They were never going to draft Bush because of the money he was asking so they should have TRADED OFF THE PICK!!! Besides Bush didn't have that big of a stand out year, he played well in that last few games of the season.

You really think you got a better QB? Matt Schaub?? He will have the same, if not worse numbers than David Carr. Does management really think it was Carr's fault for the Texans problems? If they had actually addressed the biggest problem which was the offensive line, they'd actually have a better record. Like the Reggie Bush blunder, I think they screwed up again. No QB will survive behind that horrid O-line, not even the great Matt Schaub. Unless mgmt decides to bring in some talent at the O-line, nothing else they do will matter.

I agree we need to add an offensive lineman. But it's not entirely the o-lines fault that Carr sucked so bad. Sage Rosenfelds and Tony Banks were able to do just fine behind THE SAME EXACT line. Carr always held on to the ball way too long instead of throwing it away if he couldn't find an open receiver. The line can only hold off defenders for so long. Matt Schaub will be an excellent QB. For those you who say he's a "career backup"...he was playing behind Michael Vick. The Falcons paid Vick WAY too much to be a backup. So of course Matt had to ride the bench. But if you read all of the Falcon forums, EVERYBODY says Atlanta traded the wrong QB.

Are you a Texans fan? The reason I ask is, you sound like you don't have any knowledge of your team. David Carr wasn't traded, he was cut. The Texans did address their HB needs, they signed Ahman Green. As everyone has stated in their answers, the Texans need OL help. The reason why everyone has stated that is because it has been written about in every article and talked about on every TV show for the last five years about the Texans. You of course, being a Texan fan, already know that, right?

Texans screwed up bigtime by CUTTING Carr. While theyre in the mood for cutting decent players why dont you have them cut Andre Johnson. Now some other team will get a good QB for noting basically. The Texans need to invest seriously in an offensive line, Schaub is going to suffer the same fate as Carr. He'll be on his *** more than Carr was due to the fact that he is a slower less mobile Qb. I personally hope the Bears pick him up and drop Rex. At least there he wont be running for his life every time the ball is snapped. As for your running back issue unless some big names come up in the free agents theyre best off drafting Adrian Peterson. Because I really hope you dont think Ron Dayne is going to do anything besides look fat in his jersey. just my $.2

Those who criticize the Carr move, remember Steve Young was a backup for many years before he got his chance; he did okay.
The Texans need a line.

12-4 That particularly would have been this previous season - video games have been fee by utilising a undesirable kicker and a undesirable working game. fix in simple terms those 2 issues and you have a playoff group. Schaub has bloomed and the offense is at a factor that it may take off. The protection hit on the superb suited combination as quickly as Pollard got here in after game 3. they have protective Rookie of the three hundred and sixty 5 days Brian Cushing who performed harm all season and lead the group alongside with Demeco Ryans. next season ought to be sure a on fireplace offense and a brick wall protection
