I love Faith Hill. Her voice sounds AMAZING in person. Rarely are artists as good live as they are on a recording. As far as a male country artist I would have to say Keith Urban. His style is unique and he sounds amazing live too. My favorite country song of all time is "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. Her voice was so full of emotion and no one has been as talented since her.

I'm new to country music... but my ears are open, and I've discovered some amazing lyricists and musicians, though my scope is admittedly limited. (The genre has changed greatly compared to what my step-father forced me to listen to!)
So... minimal experience here... I love Rascal Flatts. 'Bless this Broken Road" is a beautiful song. They'd win for both.

I don't have too much. I do have Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison. C. Daniel's Devil Went Down to Georgia, and Foggy Mountain Breakdown by Flatts & Scruggs. Pick it, Earl.
