humans.

because - we over populate. this causes -

1. the destruction of natural habitats which brings about the extinction of species which messes up complex eco systems. This has direct effects on not only animal but plant species world wide.

2. climate issues. apart from affecting animals and plants it causes the seas to rise, tides to change. we divert narual river courses, irrigate and plant crops. this change the salinity and mineral composition of the soil. all this has an effect on the weather.

so basically, we use all natural resources and not only kill plants and animals on the way, but change fundamental aspects of the earth such as weather, water and soil.

eventually, the Earth will be uninhabitable (as we know it) and we will need to find somewhere else to live.

Over-population. That is how the world is going to end. We are going to use up all the world's resources and be forced to compete for food, or worse, cannibalize.
