while some people like and are suited to isolation,,,,,,,, if its chosen as a means to "run away" from problems,,,,,, rather then just for the joy of being alone,,,, then its not right,,,,,,,, at different times in life, life will seem to suck,,,,,, i suggest finding ways to change your current life,,,, to make it better,,,, before you make such a drastic change,,,,,, while sometimes its best to end a relationship,,,,, often you can find ways to work out things with people,,,
take it in small steps, day by day, look for ways to improve things, interactions with people, also look for ways to become strong within yourself,,,,,, and to feel good about yourself,,,,,,

Living in a log cabin isn't as easy ast it sounds.
Catching and killing meat and -- most importantly -- preserving it so it doesn't rot on you before you can eat it -- is just one of the many challenges. Many a city person who has decided to live off the land has quickly found out that it's a lot harder than it looks. Do it the wrong time of year and you could quickly dehydrate or freeze to death.
No, what you need to do is to find happiness and security here. First things first. If you're in school or of school age, study as hard as you can and graduate.
If and when you're done with your education, get the best job you can find and work like crazy. I don't care if you end up working as an auto mechanic or trash collector or any other job. There are millions of ways to earn good money. Just get some skills, make yourself useful, and work hard.
When you start bringing home your own paycheck, you'll feel 100% better than you do right now.
Work hard enough and long enough and you can start to afford things you like and save for your future.
If you're feeling discouraged about dating and relationships, don't be. The only way you'll find the one who's right for you is to stay just where you are, not off in some log cabin.
Either now, or as you get older and have more options, join groups that have both men and women in them -- Toastmasters (public speaking club) or ski clubs if you can afford them (they take a lot of trips), or bowling leagues, or Sierra Club, or clubs at your school for now if you're in school. . . .find activities that are fun and that are not all male. If you socialize in groups, you'll naturally build friendships and some of them will turn romantic.
Hang in there. It seems tough right now, but you are doing just fine. Always be kind to yourself, especially in the way you talk to yourself in your head. Say reassuring things to yourself, like "You're doing fine!" and "good effort." Stop yourself if you hear you tearing yourself down. Be your own best friend.

Wow. Who crapped in your pool? If you have the skills and the money to skip off to the wilds..Good on ya! I recently read a book that claimed the best way to find a happy community was to drive around with a tortilla on your antenna. When someone finally asks you why you have a goddamned tortilla there, you've found it. It was a free publication so...But hey. If you want my advice...People mostly do suck but not all of 'em. We mammals were not meant to live alone. Dont give up. Yet.

A tendency such as that means that you are feeling vaguely depressed. Don't worry though it will go away when you find a hobby.
Your plan is actually pretty good to escape from the pressures of today's life, but interaction is critically today as much as ever. If you did that you might go crazy, if your not busy 18 hours out of the day, 365 days a year.

it seems to me you have Ralph Waldo Emerson in the Walden Pond as inspiration. but even good old Ralph went out of the world, camouflaged himself to the swings and colors of the world. man, we are left but with few choices here. and living as a hermit is no longer an option with the booming population explosion. take charge of your life and start with a good thinking of pursuing happiness in any way you can--with real people. if the destination and object of your efforts is found to be not so damn good, the journey will actually prove worthwhile. pick up yourself..you're even fortunate than over half of world's population living in misery, dire poverty and ignorance with half of their bodies already buried underground.

Even if you did go--not many people will forget you. What is the reason you want to become a recluse? Have you thought of meeting with a psychologist?

Sing along w/ me now! Follow the bouncing ball.
No body likes me every body hates me guess I'll go eat worms!
Down goes the first one
Down goes the second one
Oh how they wiggle and squirm!

that might sound cute while you're thinking of it now, but it's a lot more work than you're even dreaming of. My advice would be to quit whining and not quit on life.

EXCELLENT!!! I hate people too! Maybe you could learn to spell while out in the wilderness. Or, just hit the "Check Spelling" icon. either way.
